It's Complicated & The kids Are Alright.

As these are not resent released but i have just seen them, i thought i would post about them together.

It's Complicated - When attending their son's college graduation, a couple reignite the spark in their relationship...but the complicated fact is they're divorced and he's remarried.

Another Meryl Streep film, as i said in an earlier post, she can do no wrong! its about a 3 way relationship bewteen Meryl, Steve Martin, and Alex Baldwin. Not your average rom-com people i agree more like a midlife crisis rom-com. Odd bits of uncomfortable viewing thou seeing Baldwin semi naked... unless that's your thing! 3/5

-----

The Kids Are All Right - Two children conceived by artificial insemination bring their birth father into their family life.

Nominated for just about every award under the sun, after watching it, its hard to say why Julianne Moore was nominate for supporting actress, when i feel the story was mostly about her character.

A lesbian couple have two children by the same sperm donor and its how the family cope and deal with their biological father entering their lives and the consequences it has on all of them. Its hard to rate this film on a scale of 1-5, it wasn't amazing and it wasn't terrible. so i'll go with 6/10.

Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows

Sherlock Holmes and his sidekick Dr. Watson join forces to outwit and bring down their fiercest adversary, Professor Moriarty.

Holmes is back, in another installment of the franchise, to which i am a fan. Manly cause i think Robert Downey Jr is a great actor in witty roles, that dont require him to be taken seriously like Iron man.

Though i did find the film quite predictable at times, it was still enjoyable to watch. With action, adventure and comedy 3.5-4/5 As the Radio times would say 'Worth a watch'

The Iron Lady

A look at the life of Margaret Thatcher, the former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, with a focus on the price she paid for power.

You would struggle to pick fault with any performance by Meryl Streep this one included, she can do no wrong. In fact i started to believe that i was watching a Margaret Thatcher documentary.

I dont know if its a good thing that she looked so spitting image of her, lets some there were hours in the makeup chair! I really enjoyed this film, as i said, i could have quite believe it was a documentary. As an 80's child all i really knew of Thatcher was she was a milk snatcher... The film showed that what ever decisions a world leader has to make, they must live with the consequences for the rest of their life. 4.5/5

Underworld: Awakening

When human forces discover the existence of the Vampire and Lycan clans, a war to eradicate both species commences. The vampire warrioress Selene leads the battle against humankind.

I went into this movie expecting not to be blown away, and i wasnt disappointed. The thing that struck me most was that the acting was terrible from just about everyone one of the cast, apart from a character called Lida, who was only in about 2 scenes.

This is the fourth Underworld film, and it proved the notion about squeals. Each one has got progressively worse.

I really hope they dont made a Fifth, but that could mean that Kate Beckinsale is out of work, but if this film is anything to go by it might not be a bad thing. 1/5
